The training course that qualifies you for the A+ certification falls into two main parts:
First: the core computer hardware service technologies.
Second: operating system technologies.
By the end of it, students are able to do the following:
- Identify and discuss the components and the concepts behind the core computer hardware service technologies, and install, run and troubleshoot the main components of a computer.
- Identify and discuss the components and the concepts behind operating system technologies, and install and repair software.
- Work through an organised route to qualifying for the CompTIA A+ certification exam.

Who this course is for
The A+ syllabus is designed for entry-level computer technicians who want solid ground under them in computer maintenance. The course covers computer hardware, operating systems, software and applications, and the fundamentals of networking, delivered through explanation, lectures and student labs.
A+ is what helps anyone who wants to work in information technology (IT) with little or no experience of the field, and who wants to develop themselves in it. The course qualifies students for the CompTIA A+ exams as well as building the base knowledge for the Microsoft exams.
Worth knowing
Earning the A+ certification requires the following exams:
- Exam 220-701: the computer hardware service exam.
- Exam 220-702: the operating system technologies exam
