Who is 7dash?

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We hope what follows is a good introduction to what 7dash Training Academy does and what it is aiming at, and please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or need more detail.

We founded 7dash Academy to put our own view of computing education into practice. Since it opened in 2011 the academy has delivered a long list of specialised training programmes across computing and information technology — chief among them web and internet application design and development, programming, and the various networking disciplines.

Our programmes are aimed at every academic background and age group. Our first concern when we design one is that it works for people who are not specialists and who have no prior experience in the field, so every 7dash programme starts from the first steps of its subject and builds the foundation a student needs in order to think about it methodically.

Our motto has always been "own the experience". That is our approach to preparing students for the job market: not only teaching the academic material and making it accessible, but passing on real working experience before they enter that market for real. It is also why our rules about the qualifications of our staff and trainers are strict — nobody teaches our students unless they have long practical experience in commercial work and a solid record of delivery in their specialism.

With so many technologies in use, so many syllabuses and levels, and so much terminology in information technology, the biggest obstacle facing anyone entering the field is simply seeing the road clearly: where do I start, and where am I heading? That is the question newcomers ask most often. We believe we have the experience to answer it, and to map out the right tracks for anyone who wants to reach an advanced level both academically and in practice.

7dash Academy provides dedicated training services for organisations that want to develop the skills of their staff in computing, programming, networking and related fields.
